SWAT Mobility Powers On-demand Transportation for Tourists in Wakayama City

Wakayama City has launched the "Wakayama Castle Town Sightseeing Shared Taxi", an on-demand transport service powered by SWAT Mobility, to provide tourists and local residents with a smoother mobility experience within the city.

Starting from October 3rd, users can easily travel between designated boarding and alighting points around Wakayama City by simply making a reservation through an app on their phones. By combining the ease of a bus with the comfort of a taxi, this new service provides smoother sightseeing for tourists and makes everyday errands more accessible for local residents as well.

Operating Period: October 3rd, 2025 - November 30th, 2025 (Fri, Sat, Sun, PH only)

Operating Hours: 9:00～17:00

Area of Operation: Wakayama City

Reservations: Via the “Wakayama Castle Town Sightseeing Shared Taxi” app

Fare: ¥500 per ride, or a ¥1,500 1-day pass (all-you-can-ride)
