Guangzhou, China - On 18th November 2019, Ministry of Movement Pte. Ltd. (SWAT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Chinese bus company Guangzhou No. 3 Bus Co., at the 10th Singapore-Guangdong Collaboration Council (SGCC), as a show of commitment to collaborate on the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (CSGKC) project. SWAT plans to work with the bus company to run a pilot of on-demand shared bus services in industrial parks such as OneHub GKC. We will be providing our dynamic routing algorithm optimising bus routes for the service.

The MoU was signed at the presence of Mr Ong Ye Kung, Minister for Education of Singapore, and the Guangdong Governor, Mr Ma Xingrui. The SGCC marks the start of closer cooperation between Singapore and Guangdong in the areas of innovation, smart cities and more. 19 projects were signed between various Singapore and Guangdong companies, with SWAT as one of the representative companies from Singapore.

As a key part of the collaboration, the CSGKC project is focused on expanding knowledge-based industries in the Greater Bay Area and providing a solid platform to foster more partnerships for innovation between Singapore and Guangdong. Under this project, SWAT plans to lend our technology and expertise to help develop urban and smart city transport solutions. The shared mobility platform will give users a more convenient, affordable and sustainable commute option, improving the intelligent transport system of Guangzhou Knowledge City.

We are proud to be a leader in bringing on-demand shared transport technology into the Chinese market and we look forward to scaling our technology to the broader China market in the future.
